The Angola Rd & Rt 24 intersection is projected to be closed until the end of 2024. The only egress from the Angola area is Camp Arrowhead Road.

Some Pointers from a Highway Engineer:
No elevation change near either entrance. The Angola Rd side will be graded upward to prevent bottoming out by all classes of vehicles (motorcycles to tanker trucks).
2018 and now are identical with the exceptions of crosswalks and bike lanes added. This kind of 4x4 intersection is a highway engineering standard. The curves heading away from the intersection on Robinsonville and Angola roads are common customization accommodating curves.
This type of widened intersection may initially have higher accident rates if the majority of drivers are 55+ due to changing from 2 travel lanes to 4 intersecting lanes within a short distance The accident rate typically drops by 50% after a year of being in service.
All work on Rt 24 is to be done at night, but Angola Rd will be closed up to 90 days.
