Current/Recent Road Improvement Projects:

• Hollymount/Sloan Rd alignment and expansion project was completed.

• Rt-24 has been under construction for many years. The dualization project from Coastal Hwy all the way to near the entrance of Harts Landing subdivision has been going on for years, and hopefully it will be completed soon.

• Long Neck Rd to Oak Orchard improvement has  been completed.

• Camp Arrowhead improvement has been completed.

• Angola Rd/Robinsonville Rd construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

• North Millsboro Bypass project is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

Upcoming Projects:

• Mulberry Knoll Rd will be extended all the way to Rt-9.

• Bank Road improvement and signalization of the intersection may be coming up.

• Dualization study of Rt-24 all the way to Oak Orchard. This is only a study and is not a guarantee.

Any Traffic Improvement Coming?

Traveling on Rt-24 without some road construction somewhere will not be a reality for a long time. Once the improvement project is completed, they will need to start another study to catch up with new developments. DelDOT's Capital program is a long-term project, which may take 10 years to see the fruition.
